Growing Pains has-been Kirk Cameron is a religious fanatic. One can tell his degree of zealotry by witnessing the glazed over look in his eyes, which sends the clear message: “I’ve stopped thinking for myself a long time ago and now sound like a cult member.”
On CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” the anti-gay actor trashed LGBT Americans. According to a GLAAD petition:
Cameron described his personal bias against gay people by saying:
“I think that it’s – it’s – it’s unnatural. I think that it’s – it’s detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”
“In this interview, Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980s TV character,” said Herndon Graddick, Senior Director of Programs at GLAAD. “Cameron is out of step with a growing majority of Americans, particularly people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not condemned because of their sexual orientation.”
Piers Morgan disagreed with Cameron when asked what he would do if one of his kids came out. Morgan said: “If one of my sons [came out], I’d say ‘that’s great son, as long as you’re happy.’”
Best known for his role as Mike Seaver on the 1980s television series “Growing Pains”, Cameron also spoke out against marriage equality in the interview:
“Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don’t think anyone else should either,” explains Cameron. “So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don’t.”
Herndon Graddick of GLAAD responded:
“With an increasing number of states recognizing marriage equality, Americans are seeing that marriage is about committed couples who want to make a lifelong promise to take care of and be responsible for each other and that gay and lesbian couples need equal security and legal protections. That’s not ‘redefining’ anything,” said Graddick.
Truth Wins Out would be all over this, primarily because we simply don’t like Cameron because he comes across as an arrogant, bigoted, brainwashed zombie. However, GLAAD beat us to the punch on this one — so please sign their petition, “Tell Kirk Cameron It’s Time to Finally Grow Up.”

GLAAD petition should be to get CNN to fire gay bashing pimp Piers Morgan. Watch the video http://www.tmz.com/2012/03/04/kirk-cameron-piers-morgan-gay-marriage-video/#.T1OYWvGNN_c
The backlash again Cameron’s words is brilliant!
I signed the petition about an hour back and had another look just now and there has been about a hundred more signatures added.
In other places, the (pseudo) Christian and other homophobes are thrashing about looking for some relevance to hold onto.
‘Freedom of speech’ they cry
and ‘GLAAD are the real bullies’,
Or the famous armchair warrior threat, ‘you might say it’s all right but God doesn’t and I wouldn’t like to be you on judgement day’.
That is, they have no real reason for sticking up for this person other than they see Christian and automatically agree.
It’s the same over here, people stick up for those who are fighting against same sex marriage.
Their cry is same sex marriage redefines marriage which should be one man and one woman, even though Abraham, Isaac and Jacob weren’t in a traditional marriage, Jesus was too busy being a teacher and healer so never married and Paul hated and feared women and sex so remained single.
There will always be homophobes but more and more people are realising that same sex marriage harms no one and helps LGBT people have their ceremony in front of friends and family.
Since when is Kirk Cameron relevant again? Every issue that happens in politics we have go back to the 80′s and pull people to find out what they think about it? Media is getting desperate.

Jessica, I think you are wrong about Paul being unmarried. Yes, he seems to have hated & feared women but when he was Saul (before his conversion)he was a rabbi & s’posedly all rabbis had to be married. So that suggests there was a wife in there someplace. But exactly what happened to her, it doesn’t say. Maybe he was divorced? Ooooh, nooooo, bad, bad, Paul. You’re not allowed to be divorced! I guess he’s just another sinner. Oh well.

Badge Society asked about Kirk Cameron’s relevance – good question. What is his relevance? Everyone has their ideas and opinions and judgements. Why are his in any way important? I haven’t heard about him in years yet NOW what he says about us matters? Another thing about quoting the Bible: as far as I’ve read, God did not marry Adam and Eve. He created them and gave them to each other except they were innocent of “the knowledge”. Well, Eve found out why Adam was built and looked different than her between the legs. THAT was that “knowledge” they were forbidden to know. Such blather.
4: Devin, I always assumed Saul was a similar to a Consigliere for the Palestine rabbis, hunting down Christians. But he probably was married. I wouldn’t be surprised if he beat her to death for suggesting an early night or showing an ankle in daylight or something. Horrid man. And Christians look up to him.
6: Peter Hargmier, to my shame I can’t say I know much about Larry King, but what Morgan was capable of was licking the right boots. He is well thought of at the moment, but it won’t last long. He will revert to type and do something idiotic and be jettisoned yet again.
