If you thought Virginia’s vaginal probe was invasive, check this out.
According to Think Progress:
Earlier this week, an Arizona state senate committee backed a “tell your boss why you’re on the pill bill” that would allow employers to demand proof that their employees are not using birth control for contraceptive purposes before their insurance will cover the pills. In an interview on Meet The Press this morning, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) slammed this assault on working women, and even urged his fellow Republicans to finally end their lengthy war on women’s reproductive health.
This is one reason why I am for universal health care. In this case, we can see how conservatives want to use employers to induce shame so employees will not use birth control. Why should employers be in control of our health choices or have knowledge of our personal lives?

Bravo! Thank you for sharing Senator McCain!!!
This bill is astoundingly appalling, and I hope more Republicans will have the guts to speak out like McCain to put a stop to this stupid culture war. It’s time for these people to stop leslislating Taliban-style ‘morality’ and get back to actual politics.
There is a perception out there about how the Republicans are attacking women and their issues because THE REPUBLICANS ARE DOING JUST THAT!
Is AZ full of dumb f@#ks?
Yes.
Idaho’s SB1387 is another State Rape (Transvaginal Ultrasound) bill, and it just passed. It heads to the House and is likely to pass there:

If we do have universal healthcare some day – which I hope we do – you can be sure some Republicant politicians will try to pass legislation outlawing the coverage of contraceptives for all women.
