1-2-3, Kirk Cameron talking again!
After admitting he has friendly ears in longtime anti-LGBT activists Tim Wildmon and Tony Perkins again fails to take even an iota of responsibility for saying that gays are “unnatural” and “detrimental to society in a number of ways” and instead tries to flip the script behind some bizarre “bigotry” thought exercise. Oh, he then makes some more comments about homosexuality being detrimental.
“Detrimental” not only to ourselves, but also to others. But he doesn’t hate gays! Nawwwwww. He’s just talking to a hate group for fun.
Homophobia is detrimental to America. The fruits of homophobia are reviling, insults, defamation, unjust laws, tearing apart families, breaking the Golden Rule, attacks, violence, suicide, murder, etc. These are not “fruits of the Spirit.” These are fruits of Satan. The anti-gay deathstyle, for which anti-gay activist Cameron provides support, is evil and ruining America.
As long as sites like yours continue to give him attention for his comments, he will continue to make them. You are giving him the publicity that he wants. If you and everyone else ignored him, then maybe he would go away.

And what next? If we ignore the entire Anti-gay movement we will get our rights? Maybe it is the LGBT movement’s fault we are not equal. If we would just pretend our opposition doesn’t exist….it will disapper.

Exactly Wayne. Why are the anti-Gays up in arms, raging about the GLAAD CAP project? Simple – they *want* to be ignored, so they can continue to spew their bile without repercussions. Shining the light on their ridiculous statements for all the world to see is the *last* thing they want.
The thing about the opposition is that they do not like being challenged, as evidenced by how they start howling like madmen now that people are challenging their statements, instead of blindly accepting them as was common in the past. Sure, they are getting publicity, but judging by how increasingly frequent they resort to the victim facade, it would seem that they are learning that there is such a thing as negative publicity. In short, the public is the best arena in which to face our opponents, for they cannot rely on their usual trickery and deceit, and are therefore powerless.
I thought christians were supposed to “turn the other cheek” and “rejoice” when they were reviled! They are supposed to not sue when wronged and to love their enemies and those who “persecute” them. Aren’t we supposed to be able to see the nature of God by the lives of compassion, humility and good works these born again fundagelicals are supposed to be demonstrating? Frankly, I don’t see one whit of difference between the behavior of the vast majority of fundagelicals and your average Joe or Joline on the street. In fact the majority of fundagelical christianists are actually less pleasant to be around than your average nonreligious person.
