Oh, Maggie just doesn’t like the “language” of NOM’s internal race-baiting documents, because they make them sound “too big for their britches.” Other than that, it’s all good. Does she have any clue what a national embarrassment her organization is right now? Is there any self-awareness at all?
[h/t Jeremy]

Its hard to believe that Maggie can believe that directing their agenda at specific groups, be it race, economic position or any others, can not be considered divisive or conspiratorial. It certainly can not be considered inclusive.
The question is, can the bigotry be made to appear completely and utterly unacceptable to society in time for the Republican convention? There seems to be some thought that, aiming for wedges between groups is a convention tactic. Certainly not conventional though, is the business of plotting to get children to speak out against their own parents, only because the parents are a minority member. Perhaps if it could be gotten through to Romney, how horrifying that is, the NOM pledge could be removed from Republican consideration in time for the convention.
Does MSNBC have a no shoes no shirt no service policy or can we expect her to be propping her bare feet up on the table whilst enjoying the odd snack from the green room?
She’s such a classy broad, representin’ a classy operation.
The only thing I saw here was the same old lies being spewed and people basically just sitting there allowing her to keep spewing them.
Where’s the “You’re a liar” statement? Or at least a rebuttal of her mentioning numerous times that when someone ‘stands up for marriage’ we call them bigots. Why doesn’t anyone take her down when it should be a painfully easy thing to do?
One word: Cowards.
Homophobia is a sin like lying, stealing and murder. Those caught up in homophobia who flaunt, promote, celebrate and make a living off it have been given up to reprobate minds. Thus, they are no longer able to distinguish right from wrong. Sad.
Well she is quite the insufferable liar… Excuse me now I must vomit from attempting to digest so much B.S.
Poor Magga the Hut – couldn’t even make eye contact with the cameras.
I have to admire Maggie’s guts. When you’re caught with your hand in the cookie jar, just insist you don’t really like cookies. She sounds so nice. How can we gay people feel so not liked by her or her organization. She doesn’t mind us being here; it’s that equality thing that gives her a stomach ache. Oh, if only the founders weren’t so generous with that part of the Constitution and that damned 14th Amendment. Of course, if it weren’t for us, Maggie and company wouldn’t have their beloved notoriety.
Props to Fred Karger on his appearance, too!
I don’t mind those kind of discussions and tactics, from either side of these debates. I’m a pretty pragmatic person, so the idea of having a very objective target and goal doesn’t bother me, even if its racial minorities.
Just think of the advertising industry. A specific message is tailored toward a specific audience in order to reap a successful financial outcome. That’s just the way the world works, I wouldn’t demonize anyone for that kind of mindset.
So the wing-nut sees nothing nothing wrong with trying to manipulate minority groups into attacking simply because he also hates that minority group. Then he wonders why he and Mrs. Srivistav are called bigots.
Christ, she’s repulsive.
