Lou says, several times in this video, that he’s not endorsing the actions of General Lee or Stonewall Jackson, but nonetheless that they had an anointing, and that people fighting to preserve their rights to hate gay people should really look to those guys for inspiration. Or something. My head hurts, as it usually does when I’m trying to decipher the mad ramblings of Lou Engle.

UPDATE: Charles Johnson, pointing out the obvious: “Somebody should let ol’ Lou know that the Confederacy lost.” Heh.

*blink*…*blink*…ughhhhh oy, what the hell was that? My eyes just perpetrated a hate crime on my brain by watching that. Only making a bad joke can help me now..the gays are coming, the gays are coming!
The had an anointing and Sherman had a march. Lou, I don’t think you want that anointing to happen again.
Well, the two fights are certainly linked. Given the deep hatred for both blacks and gays in the south, it isn’t hard to see why. These are people who think blacks are escaped property and gays are animals to be hunted to extinction.
One if by land, two if by sea???
Folks, do we really expect Engle to make sense? He never did before.
Engle doesn’t realize what an apt analogy he came up with. The fight for slavery was immoral and the fight against gays is immoral. The fight against slavery was lost and the fight against gays will be lost.
Funny how the member of the bloodcult that fought for slavery is trying to compare the struggle of another segment of humanity that he hates to a fool’s errand that his bloodcult not only started, but drug out.
Nice of him to admit it, finally.
I agree with Priya Lynn, and I’ll go farther.
“what an apt analogy”?
how about “what an apt PHRASE”
“Raise up a STONEWALL”
…. now…. WHERE have I heard the name Stonewall before. There was SOMETHING about gays and Stonewall before, somewhere…. I just Know it…
There is no amount of drugs large enough or potent enough for that to even begin to make sense.
