This is, of course, true, because I love both of them!
So this clip is kind of funny, as the speaker, Jonathan Haidt, argues that “sushi is the gay marriage of food,” in that not so long ago, people in the West didn’t like the idea of eating raw fish at all, but once it became commonplace and accepted, especially for Kids These Days, it became mainstream. Much in the same way, older generations of people are having a harder time accepting marriage equality, while Kids These Days are all “whatever,” and they’re more likely to judge people who don’t know how to properly use chopsticks while gay marrying. (Or something like that.) Anyway, it’s food for thought. [Pun intended!]

…And the ones out there who find sushi disgusting are not running around rallying to make it illegal just because they disapprove of it.
Raw fish – gag!
Eggplant. I think that not only should it be banned, but growing it should be made a criminal offense! Even possessing pictures or books that make reference to it should be banned. It’s an evil vegetable!
PJB863: Agreed! Eggplant is *the* worst vegetable in existence, period. I cannot believe people even consider it edible!
I’ve never eaten eggplant but its purple. I like purple, maybe I should try it.
Eggplant has to be cooked properly. If it’s not, it is indeded barely worth eating.
Eggplant can be SO good though, done right.
I’ll take the sushi over the eggplant. (Eggplant is squishy and ick.)
I think it okra is the most disgusting vegetable (sorry Evan). When I was in grad school in Nashville, I would see it while walking down the lunch line and those web-like bubbles in it made me want to gag.
I agree with Gary that okra is the most disgusting vegetable. And eggplant is almost as loathsome. I also loath popcorn, which is even worse because I’m forced to smell it while others are eating it.
