Fact-challenged creationist Ken Ham doesn’t use the terms I did above, but nonetheless explains that “belief in evolution” leads directly to supporting gay marriage. This happened at the Watchmen on the Walls conference, sponsored by the Family Research Council hate group. Right Wing Watch points out that, for many fundamentalists, a literal belief in Genesis is paramount, as that sort of reality-denial is necessary to bolster their beliefs about gays, women and the like.

Maybe Genesis gets attacked because it is a two thousand year old piece of cultic nonsense that should not be relevant to how any society makes moral decisions today.
Funny how Ken Ham refutes evolution. He is the embodiment of the Piltdown Man!
And Piltdown Man was a hoax too.
Genesis is from the Hebrew Bible, so it’s much older than 2000 years.
You mean that there is a slippery slope from acknowledging reality in science to reality in human sexuality?!! Shocking!
“There Is A Slippery Slope From Believing In Science, Leading Directly To Supporting Equality”
Of course there is, as both those viewpoints arise from rational, fact-based reasoning, whereas belief in genesis arises from wingnut being brainwashed from birth and happily accepting what one, lone, solitary middle-eastern bronze-age book tells them about the creation of the universe.
Matthew 19 was about divorce. Just saying.
Ah, but you see Teddy, their rules are for US, not THEMSELVES.
