Former Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt, the virulently anti-gay “minister” dishonorably discharged from the Navy for insubordination, told progressive radio show host David Pakman that people are born straight but become gay as a result of “marketing.” When asked to explain the widespread occurrence of homosexuality in nature, Klingenschmitt replied that it results from demons leaving humans and entering the animals.
Seriously. And this dude used to serve in the United States Navy.
Additionally bizarre claims made by Klingenschmitt include the pernicious lie that opposite-sex marriages are hurt by same-sex marriages due to alleged (and by “alleged,” I mean “if you’re under the influence of a mind-altering substance”) abuse of children in those marriages. He also attacked both President Obama and Pakman himself for supporting marriage equality, saying that the Devil was using them to “promote” homosexuality.
Previously on The David Pakman Show, Klingenschmitt claimed to have performed at least 50 exorcisms on gay and lesbian people and purported to have around a 50% success rate in “curing” homosexuality through said exorcisms.
You forgot the best part. Animals become gay because demons are transmitted from human gays, which then enter the animals and cause deep, deep disco naps, after which they awaken very, very fabulous.
Oh wait, no you didn’t forget that part. I skimmed. Whoops.

A “50% success rate”? Well, that’s something. So, half the time he fails?
I really don’t know where to start picking apart the layers of nuttiness and bigotry in this thing. But I do wonder WHERE homobigots get their insane ideas about how people “turn” gay, or what the “gay agenda” is. It can’t possibly come from having actually MET any LGBT folks.
The marketing that turned me gay was watching Ricky Nelson sing on tv in the early 60s. >:P

Am I the only one who sees this man’s very feminine gestures. I see this pattern over and over again. The people who denounce homosexuality are more often than not the people who have struggled with this issue themselves and have chosen not to acknowledge who they are. ( not saying all gay men are feminine, but I just find it odd that most of these people in the business of hating gays are effeminate men ) The only way they can be happy with their ‘choice’ is to make sure everyone else makes the same ‘choice’ that they did. But what they have chosen is a lie and they will never be happy except of course if they make everyone else as unhappy as they are.
Why does gay marriage hurt society? Well because it hurts the children. How does it hurt the children? Well because it hurts marriage. How does it hurt marriage? Well because it hurts society….ugghhhhh…
And how do homophobes hurt society? Because they hurt logic.
