Or, as Joe headlined this:
Pastor “Beat Gay Kids” Denounces Pastor “Put Them In Concentration Camps”
It’s one thing to beat the gay out of your child, but if you put them in concentration camps, then you can’t evangelize them. No word on whether beating is part of the evangelization process.

Well, you can’t beat and stomp the gay out of them if they’re behind electrified concertina wire. I’m sure that’s what he meant, at any rate.
These people make me sick. However, a friend on FB shared this with me, have you seen it?

These bigots love it when someone goes off like that so that they can say, “See–I’m not that bad”, when, in fact, they are.
Isn’t it apparent to a sane thinking person that core values of Christianity (which need no explanation) are very easily smothered and twisted to a hatred- only mindset. It’s just that the abusers of the faith still cling to the method that works best – call it love and God’s will. The more or less non-thinking followers will go along with whatever the leader says no matter how murderous, hateful, disgusting, non-Jesus inspired loving, etc. Yet, they are convinced they are first in line for heaven. The majority of the US population are truly dullards and easily duped with this religious nonsense.
Because clearly converting more people to your sick cult is the most important thing here
I tend to shy away from calling people bigots, but these people really *are* bigots! Beat your gay kids and put gays behind an electric fence?
Religion appeals to many different kinds of people, but it especially appeals to the Authoritarian/Narcissistic type. They are common both in the pews and on the stage. We’ve just seen two sorry examples in the forms of supposed “pastors.”
Christopher, if a person’s a bigot I won’t be shy about naming them.
It’s actually pretty simple to evangelize people in cages. That’s why prison ministries are so popular. Religious predators love captive audiences.
Sheesh. When I was coming out I lost track of the number of times idiot xtians would protest (after hearing how badly I’d been treated) “oh, but it’s not like that at OUR church,” followed by “we believe what the Bible REALLY says” because “we’re TRUE Christians,” and “OUR pastor is not like that…”
…and when I’d go to investigate, sure enough, same s**t, different package, with varying degrees of hostility (outright, thinly veiled, disguised as “love”).
It comes as no surprise to me that they show the same contempt for each other as they do for us.
A friend who is well-read on the history of religions said: “Keep the people poor, stupid, scare them with religion and you control them. How true.
Jerry
There is really no need for organised religion anymore. It was only needed when most of the population was illiterate, and had to be told what was in the bible.
Most people can read nowadays (admittedly with varying degrees of competence), so they don’t need a pastor such as this. Let people have their own, personal relationship with their chosen deity(s) and leave the rest of us the f**k alone (pardon my French).
