Looking for a pick-me-up on this Monday morning? I know I was, so I was glad to stumble on this video from openly gay CNN and ESPN sportswriter LZ Granderson. The video, released yesterday, is a TED Talk Granderson gave last month in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He uses themes from his famous CNN column about the so-called “gay lifestyle” as a jumping-off point before revealing — lightsaber in hand and Darth Vader’s theme music playing in the background — the Secret Gay Agenda. Check it out:
Spoiler Alert: If you don’t have time to watch the whole video but still would like to know the contents of the Secret Gay Agenda, Granderson gives a neat little summary in his latest CNN column. I’ll close with an excerpt:
I wonder if black people would be still in the fields picking cotton today if the 13th Amendment — the one abolishing slavery — was placed on the ballot back in 1865.
I wonder if Hillary Clinton would be at home baking cookies instead of serving as secretary of state if women’s suffrage was put to a vote back in 1919.
In other words, I wonder just how far along we would be as a society if the oppressive majority held all of the legislative and judicial power over the oppressed minority, essentially yanking the teeth out of Congress and the Supreme Court.
I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about the gay agenda, but may not know what’s in it. Here’s what you do: Download a copy of the United States Constitution, read it. Everything the LGBT community wants is in there.
Sounds like an oversimplification?
It’s not.

OMG That video was so inspiring, so great! Many many thanks for bringing this to my attention, I was not aware of this before you showed it here. This video really inspires me to continue to fight for Equal Civil Rights for sexual minorities.
“Download a copy of the United States Constitution, read it. Everything the LGBT community wants is in there. Sounds like an oversimplification? It’s not.”
The 3/5 rule? No thanks. Yes, it’s an oversimplification.
As an athlete who has spent many years on the fields and courts of sports with a only a very small minority of intellegent and inclusive jocks, it’s always been obvious that the standard jock/male pecking order most often comes a million miles ahead of true commitment to the constitution or true faith. It is most often solely about finding a way to feel superior.
It take no significant intellect to see how “faith” is used around the world for political gain. And, this, in fact, is being battled out in Egypt this week in front of our eyes. The American South holds a special place too throughout its history in the effort to silence minority after minority with stories of faith absolutely full of the antithesis of Christ.
Athletes of color were certainly no better than the white majority on that issue in my experience. Gays were simply seen by them as a unique object for predation. I can honestly say that the majority of those many, many jocks were insecure bigots in many ways; intensely needy of calified tribal approval. Gangs are one of the lowest manifestations of that same mindset.
As much as we (at least, we used to) pay lip service to the constitution and the Bible, that’s seldom about inclusiveness or being Christ-like or compassionate. It’s about grabbing power to quell the desperation inside for those weak macho characters. Meanwhile, I always wondered — on and off the field — how the dull alpha jocks and false prophets on TV failed to see that their weewee management system for OTHER people only makes them look weak and needy.
My constitution and my Christ are not mean to promote those who mix thier arrogance with life-sucking weakness and neediness. My constitution and my Christ promote the wellbeing of us all, including a healthy marriage with that person who makes you the best you that you know how to, and choose to, be.
Thank You Steve! I enjoyed and was informed by your comment.
