Disgraced Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt Unleashes His Crazy On Wayne Besen on David Pakman Show

Haha, so this is what Wayne did this afternoon. At five minutes in, Klingenschmitt tries to cite Robert Spitzer’s study on reparative therapy, WHICH SPITZER RETRACTED, and Wayne is unable to stifle a giggle. Around eight minutes in, it gets really good, as Klingenschmitt explains that Wayne is gay because he made a contract with the debbil, and that if Wayne was willing, the chaplain could exorcise the gay out of him.

I enjoy the fact that the Religious Right is increasingly becoming a parody of itself.

Wayne should’ve asked if the chaplain’s cell-mate, bubba, exorcized the het out of him in prison.

Isn’t Kingenschmitt the guy who still lies at every opportunity that he was fired as a chaplain because he claims he “prayed in Jesus name,” when in fact he was fired for wearing a uniform at a non-sanctioned event?

The phony “gay parenting” study has also been discredited. My partner and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Zach Wahls this year. Zach is an amazing intelligent mature young man who was raised by two Moms.

So Klingy, this contract that one makes with the devil to make oneself gay…what the heck does one get out of it? Why would the devil offer a service like that? Is being gay a demonic superpower on par with telekinesis? There was no devil when I came out to myself. Should I have perhaps seen, I dunno, Elizabeth Hurley in a red dress and horns seducing me to give her my soul? It would have made the experience even more fun, that’s for sure.

I remember the fraud well from when he was in the Navy. He was a disgrace to to uniform. Convicted felon, defrocked by the his old church and a pathological liar… I remember helping to get him bounced out of being the “Chaplain” for the CPAC Presidential Banquet in 2007, it was the day that the Navy released him, he was no longer considered a Chaplain by the Navy, his church had banished him and he showed up there anyway and after the event had a picture taken at the podium which World Net Daily published as Klingenschmitt giving the benediction.
