Hey, does everybody remember when anti-gay hate radio jock [Wonkette: "WORLD’S GREATEST HEAVY-METAL ANTI-ABORTION PUBLIC SCHOOL ASSEMBLY STAR"] filed a silly lawsuit against Rachel Maddow for daring to quote his words on television? Indeed, he wanted $50,000,000 for the “damages” done to his reputation when Rachel simply exposed him to a wider audience.
Here’s the Maddow segment that got him all upset:
Yeah, it was the thing he said about Muslims being more moral than American Christians, because some Muslims execute gays. The case hasn’t gone to trial yet, but this doesn’t bode well for poor Bradlee:
About a year ago, after filing a libel lawsuit against MSNBC host Rachel Maddow and the Minnesota Independent, controversial preacher Bradlee Dean sounded pretty confident. His attorney, Larry Klayman, even declared that Maddow’s career was effectively finished.
It turns out that might have been a little premature.Though the case is still active, a Washington D.C. judge has ordered that Dean and his ministry, You Run But You Cannot Hide International, must pay Maddow and the since-defunct Independent attorney fees to the tune of $24,625.23, according to court records.
Oh! That made me smile!

Good. Remember Bradlee, you can (try) to run, but you can’t hide from your legal obligations.
You can’t sue someone for reporting what you said. And as a public figure “Bradlee” never stood a chance in this. Whoever decided he should sue for this was a moron.
Well. I could just spit.
Rachel is too smart and savy to say something she could be (successfully) sued for.
Ha ha.
And Dean’s arrogance turns out to be his undoing. Saw it coming from a mile away.
@Gary, that’s why this is so funny. I don’t know how much money Bradlee has, but this is going to HURT, and he brought it on himself for being so phenomenally stupid.
It’s still making me giggle.
Alas, even if he is broke, he will stand in front of some 4th rate “church” and convince the people that that this is a demonic attack, yahk, yak, yak…beg for money, and instead of using the money for food or ral charity or just the electric bill, they will give it to this loser.
Still, it DOES feel good to read Evan, it really does :)
$25,0000 isn’t going to hurt him at all. That’s what he gets for about five of his hate-talks in schools.
