Looks like 2009 was the ‘tipping point’; and the mud that M Gallagher and her henchmen are spinning their wheels in, is only getting deeper. >:)

Great news, but it continues to demonstrate how retrograde, bigoted and out of touch the Republican party is. Many years ago, Barry Goldwater said,”Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they’re sure trying to do so, it’s going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can’t and won’t compromise. I know. I’ve tried to deal with them.”

Is it possible that we can send that graphic to AFTAH, AFA, NARTH, et al? I’m sure it will brighten their mornings and maybe convince some of them to get real jobs.

Don’t underestimate the power of Gawd’s Own Party to continue to stonewall against full civil equality for LGBT people. They’ve got jillions of corporate and fundagelical dollars and a mormom bishop running for President. Add to that the sociopolitically activist Scalia-Thomas Supreme Court and there is a boatload of trouble ahead for us. Homo-hatred is written into most of their state party platforms and their opposition to us is still a critical tool to mobilize their base. Any LGBT person who votes for a republican is IMHO a fool or a Quisling.
