Let’s face it: Bryan Fischer would publicly demonize LGBT people if his vacuum cleaner pooped out on him.

People of a certain mindset (that is, certain beyond certainty that they are right) stop at nothing to reiterate their beliefs to those of us who “don’t yet understand.” This can sometimes mean they twist any other story into their story. Two recent examples:
1 – Rush Limbaugh twisting a movie plot into a liberal conspiracy against his favored presidential candidate. In this case the fact that the movie was probably in preparation four years ago, long before anyone knew about Bain Capital, only mean a longer conspiracy timeline.
2 – Bryan Fischer twists a national tragedy into an anti-LGBT statement. Someone could just as easily claim Chick-fill-A’s offer is only a publicity stunt to counter their own recent bad press.
These are not the only people making fools of themselves nationally, of course. The sad thing is that this sort of extremism and hyperbole has become standard public behavior, driven by the search for high news media ratings, and seemingly acceptable to the braod American public. The question is, why do Americans pay any attention to this obvious extremism?
[...] all know what that’s code for, right? Earlier, it was Bryan Fischer directly attacking LGBT people in the wake of the attack, and now it’s Louie Gohmert speaking in wingnut code: [...]

Such Hypocracy! You advocate for and “create firestorms” of protest in support of tolerance and “alternative” lifestyles. Where s your tolerance and acceptance of those who hold and support different values than yours?
This is LGBT’s version of acceptance and tolerance…

Tolerance of mistreating others is not the same thing as tolerance of others’ existence.
Actually, the latter requires that the former not be allowed.
But you knew that.
You’ve posted no examples of anything like hypocrisy.
But you knew that.
You’re using quotation marks wrong.
But you knew that.
But I mean, like, really wrong. You aren’t even using them wrong correctly. You’ve put your own side’s lies in scare quotes. Oops!
You probably didn’t know that.
It is nice to know how willing to defend obvious evil you are.
But you knew that.

Anonymous: Unless your irony gland has totally atrophied, since we’re talking about Chik-n-crap, let’s consider this when we talk about “tolerance and acceptance of those who hold and support different values than yours.”.
Mr. Cathy is on record as saying that MY MARRIAGE, and thus MY LIFE, is an offense to god and will bring down his wrath on the entire country.
How exactly is that “tolerance and acceptance of those who hold and support different values than yours?”
Telling me my marriage is an offense to god and invites his wrath is simply an attack dressed up as a fairy tale, with a healthy dollop of fat-headed wishful thinking.

Anonymous has no problem with the anti-gays being intolerant of gays but figures we should look the other way when they abuse us, its a one way street to him. That makes as much sense as saying we should let people murder who they want or else we’re intolerant.
Ben, the thing about pointing out hypocrisy is that you don’t have to believe the thing yourself to point out that the other person was lying about believing it.
I’m not gonna say Anonymous was accurately pointing out hypocrisy, because… well, I’ve already said he/she DIDN’T.
But our dear friend also never said that tolerance was a good thing, just claimed that we were lying when we said it.

Stick your hypocrisy back in your pants and walk away ‘Anonymous’. You don’t even the have the courage to put your name on what you’re posting. You offend me.
Most people on here don’t use their full names anyway. Those that do could easily be using a false name, if they wanted.
We’re all anonymous. Drawing attention to your own anonymity… that’s kinda weird. And contradictory!

Wait, so anonymous is comparing calling out individuals with mean names on the message board of a website with trying to take away the human rights of a whole group of people? That’s a false equivalency as well as hypocrisy.

Anonymous,
We don’t care about people who hold different views. If they like vanilla when we like chocolate, or they love Glee while we don’t (or vice-versa) it makes no difference to us.
People who spread hateful lies about us and spend every waking minute working to keep us second-class citizens, however, are another story. We bestow upon them the same courtesy they bestow upon us.

How ugly of Fischer to capitalize on this massacre. People have lost their lives. Even more people’s lives will never be the same again (hopefully the ones still alive will recover the best they can, and the families of all impacted are able to find solace). With all that, all Fischer is concerned about is his war against us? The worst sort of inhuman slime, he is.
@J M that was an equally ugly thing to say. We’re morally superior. This depraved fiend proved that much today. Let’s carry ourselves like we are and not reduce ourselves to their level by spouting things like that.
Hmmmm. The minute I heard about the shooting, I expected some wing nuts to blame us.
How fortunate I feel to be an out homosexual and 100% Atheist.
Yes, I capitalize Atheist because it IS proper noun.

Free chicken sandwiches to first responders? This isn’t a hurricane or some prolonged mass disaster. It is a crime scene at a mall. All of the victims, EMTs and ambulances would have been gone within a half hour and the people who remained on site would be evidence collectors and beat cops. Are they really in need of chicken sandwiches more than anyone else on the job? It is nice of Chic Fil A to offer free lunch, but to make this out like it is some sort of disaster relief is silly.
Sick.

It is these Nazi pseudo-Christians and their literal worship of unfettered gun rights who cause these mass gun shootings.
