We all know what that’s code for, right? Earlier, it was Bryan Fischer directly attacking LGBT people in the wake of the attack, and now it’s Louie Gohmert speaking in wingnut code:
“You know what really gets me, as a Christian, is to see the ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs, and then some senseless crazy act of a derelict takes place. People say where was God in all of this? We’ve threatened high school graduation participations, if they use God’s name, they’re going to be jailed. I mean that kind of stuff. Where was God? What have we done with God? We don’t want him around. I kind of like his protective hand being present.”
What is it about these people that they can’t just say, “how awful!” and send their love and support to the people affected?
For the record, Louie Gohmert’s latest newsworthy stunt, before these comments, was to hound Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano on the House floor over the fact that he imagines phantom Muslim Brotherhood people to be taking over the US government, just like Michele Bachmann believes.

“What is it about these people that they can’t just say, ‘how awful!’ and send their love and support to the people affected?”
That would require empathy, and the capacity for said love and support.
Such Hypocracy! You advocate for and “create firestorms” of protest in support of tolerance and “alternative” lifestyles. Where s your tolerance and acceptance of those who hold and support different values than yours?
This is LGBT’s version of acceptance and tolerance…

rush limbaugh is the stupid asswipe who was bitching a few days ago that the Dark Knight was a ‘liberal’ plot movie because the villain’s name is Bane (Bain Capitol).

Let’s face it: Bryan Fischer would publicly demonize LGBT people if his vacuum cleaner pooped out on him.

SPLC has it right. AFA is a hate group.
@anonymous So taking a national tragedy and using it solely for political purposes doesn’t even phase you, does it?
You’re just as evil and sick as he is.
This is the same fine specimen of humanity who gave us “terror babies”.
Oh, so Anonymous is just cutting and pasting his screed into every story?
Ever the opportunist, I see. And he’s not the only Christian to capitalize on this or any other tragedy. Sick inhuman monsters they are.
And if we were going to descend to the blame game, I’m sure they’re saying things like this to deflect from the fact that the shooter is one of their own. Kinda ruins that whole victim complex thing eh? And yes, I’ve read the details.
Same old script every time except, curiously, when one of their own shoots up/bombs a women’s clinic or gay bar.
So far I’ve heard nothing of his motive or his background, this crazed killer. For all we know he’s a devout Christian doing God’s work.
My money’s on mentally-ill religious crackpot.
Just because one gets elected to represent the people of the United States does not mean one has brains. Reading Mr. Gohmert’s statement made my eyes cross. What that hell is he talking about? Nothing in that ramble made any sense. His lack of a brain was shining through very brightly.
It is mind blowing that the majority of Texas or anywhere else is mentally incompetent enough to of elected this man… Are we certain the vote wasn’t rigged…
Gianni…you’re right. This babbling FOOL can’t come up with one intelligent, complete sentence. He’s an empty headed, heartless fool. People like him and the Bachmans, Palin, and…well, almost every GOP fool, where are they from? And why can’t they just GO AWAY!?
A friend and I were talking about this tragedy yesterday and we both noticed that whenever this happens, it’s almost always in a ‘red’ conservative state. We also learned yesterday on the news that every weapon, assault rifle, etc that Holmes had was bought legally and easily in that state; and yet cons are still blaming liberals for the tragedy because we ‘won’t let people have the guns to protect themselves’. Yes I heard this very comment from some idiot on Ed Schultz radio show yesterday.
It’s a bad idea to speculate on why he did what he did. Most likely he’s mentally ill, but even that is speculation. I do have to say, some of the fan boys for these movies seem like zealots to me.
Gary, that’s hysterical. If there’s anything we know about Colorado it’s that no one is prevented from getting guns if they want them.
