It’s never a good day at Chick-Fil-A when Kermit the Frog is telling you to get bent. The Jim Henson Company, which had previously sold Chick-Fil-A toys for their kids’ meals, doesn’t want to do business with the purveyor of chicken, MSG and bigotry:
The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-Fil-A to GLAAD.
That last sentence has to burn Dan Cathy.

Cool, now I feel even better about my Muppet Show dvds.
Yet another reason to love the Muppets!
Hopefully this reaction, along with the Boston Mayor saying their “Chicken Biscuits” (!) are not welcome in his city, and whole host of other statements condemning Chick-fil-A’s medieval world-view, anti-gay companies are beginning to realise that their crap will no longer be tolerated.
It is no longer the Right (and One Million Moms et al) that have the power to boycott, but rather it is us, and our allies, who now hold the balance of power.
And following on from the above, American Soccer no longer likes the BSA:

Ha!
*sigh* I guess the Muppets will now be added to the Wingnut Boycott Diaries now.
It’s good to read that an entire host of companies, individuals and even cities are standing up against the religious zealotry of companies like Chick-Fil-A.
I doubt they will ever change their supposedly biblical stance on issues and instead will find profitable niches where their type of zealotry is shared. Very clear political divisions have developed in this country where Zealots continue their attempt to hold on to their way of life and privilege. How much longer until such areas begin to experience brain drain and an inability to compete economically with the rest of the country?
