Look, it is a cartoon about Chick-Fil-A that asks a stupid question masquerading as a point:
Because the President was never a spokesperson for an ideology that spreads hate from sea to shining sea, whereas the top brass at Chick-Fil-A are indeed part of that ideology; because the President’s reticence was obviously a political calculation, as he was waiting for the right time to throw his weight behind it, whereas the top brass at Chick-Fil-A is making no such calculation; whereas we knew the President’s feelings on the issue weren’t hateful, whereas the meaningless, purposefully vague “family valyews” espoused by the Chick-Fil-A top brass are long known to be code for hating gays.
This has been simple answers to dumb questions posed by cartoons.

The President actually was picketed, interrupted, and confronted over marriage equality and Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. These buffoons have rather limited memories. Or maybe they are rewriting history.
Shoudn’t cartoons be funny?
This barely qualifies as satire.
Drawn as crude and as ugly as the thoughts it illustrates. Oh, I get it; when they protest they’re rebels like our Founding Father’s tossing tea into the harbor but when we protest we’re the “police!” That “P. C.” crap is so Nineties. I saw some other stupid accusation of hypocrisy that used the tired meme of Willy Wonka putting words into Gene Wilder’s mouth I doubt he would ever use.
I’m basically a self taught cartoonist. Never had the good art school education other great cartoonists had. But whenever I get myself in a funk about my drafting abilities, and I can’t look at anything I’ve drawn without thinking it’s all just crap and I can’t draw worth a damn, I go look at some right wing political cartoons. This guy, Glenn McCoy, is very good for my ego.
Here is a leftish cartoon with REALLY ugly characters:

The people at GayPatriot are even more stupid than those at GOProud
I almost hate to say it, but, any gay/gay supportive organizations who decided to get in on this Chick-fil-a boycott thing picked the wrong battle. It is totally dumb-as-ed. Chick-fil-a, from all I can gather, has no policy of discrimination against their employees, including sexual orientation. What the owner/owner’s family do with their money is their business. They aren’t the first right-wing religious dupes with money and won’t be the last to give to anti-equality causes. If you have a job at Chick-fil-a and you need the paycheck, you do the job and go home and get paid for it.
Glenn McCoy doesn’t pay much attention to facts. I have seen his political cartoons for the last 17 years. He loves fat asses, often draws Democrats with their pants down, draws liberal people as hippies, often with flies buzzing around their faces.
Do they have equally stupid cartoons for the endless parades of AFA/NOM boycotts? I doubt it.
Gianni,
Of course CFA has the right to buy political influence.
And customers have the right to know how their money is being spent.
Customers also have a right to know that CFA has been sued for allegedly discriminating against its female employees. Women who have a job at CFA shouldn’t count on keeping their job if they have children or cross other arbitrary moral boundaries determined by CFA.
