Recently Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos gave $2.5 million to the fight to preserve marriage equality in Washington state. Now the eighteen disgruntled women who make up the “One Million Moms” are upset about it:
You know, for the most part, when the LGBT community decides to boycott something, we do so thoughtfully, and we don’t just boycott every little thing cramps our style. The “One Million” Moms, on the other hand, seem to be almost nihilistic with their (completely ineffective, inconsequential) boycotts. It’s like they’re literally willing to stop undertaking all activities involved in being functional human beings, for the sake of hating gay people. I guess I see their point; they’ve lost the culture war and every single day, another corporation becomes more friendly to LGBT people. Before long, all they’ll have left is the MSG patties at Chick-Fil-A and whatever they grow in their own gardens.

There has to be a point where they realize nobody is afraid of their threats.
“I’m destroying you right now! Can you tell? You’re currently being destroyed! I am effective!”
If they spent as much time and energy on helping people in need as they do on these nonsensical boycotts, the world would be a much better place.
The falsely-named “One Million” Moms reminds me of that backward alien race on Star Trek: Next Generation that stole stuff from other civilizations and then went around barking “We are strong!” Until they weren’t. They’re empty bullies, with nothing of their own to show for it.
Considering their boycotts usually result in an upward spike in business for whatever company is in their crosshairs, OMM is better off leaving well enough alone.
Poor babies. Pretty soon they won’t have anything but Chick-fil-a and a few Christian bookstores.
The One Million Mom’s manifesto can be summarized simply as “we hate gay people”, yet they consistently act as though they are protecting some imaginary sanctity of marriage or some 1950s family ideal.
At this point in time, any of these companies that have been “boycotted” by a few dozen One Million Moms could call them out as a hate group and actually gain respect from the non-bigoted people of the world.
