Two of the most virulent haters in America have lowered themselves into a moral cesspool today, working the Twitter feed to exploit the FRC tragedy for political gain. Liberty Counsel’s Matt Barber and the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer simply have no basic decorum or common decency.
The question begs: What gutter won’t these anti-gay activists crawl into in their ignoble efforts to score cheap political points? Are there any boundaries they won’t cross?
It is astounding that such angry and dishonest souls call themselves Christians. Their actions today are nothing short of disgraceful.

I am disappointed that many LGBT have extended an olive branch to the FRC, finding rare common ground, and that gesture has been met with more hate from the likes of Brown, Fischer, Erickson, etc.
Yeah, reaching out to these people is less a way of attempting to extend an olive branch and more a way of culpable deniability that the LGBT community had anything to do with this. It’s not a bad idea.
Alexander: While I wish that opponents of LGBT equality would have followed the example of 23 of the nation’s most prominent LGBT groups, including Truth Wins Out, in issuing an unqualified condemnation of today’s violence, I can’t say I’m surprised that they chose not to do so. After all, when you refuse to recognize even the basic humanity of those with whom you disagree, as Barber, Fischer et al so clearly do, essentially nothing is off-limits. Tragic on so many levels.
Lgbt organizations didn’t extend the olive branch for show. They did it because it was the thing to do. It shows their character just like the comments from Erickson et al shows THEIR lack of character.
My first reaction to these two – Oh f**k off!
He claims that conservatives do not use bullets, violence or rage. REALLY? In the US at least, it seems to be very common in shootings for the shooter to be right wing, and usually influenced by hate mongering from groups like his.
Clearly their priorities lie with demonizing innocent people. The victim who could’ve easily lost his life today? No concern whatsoever. None. Whatsoever.
They will Paint Brush this, as a entire left stance in 3….. 2…….. 1…
I can say, we need to be careful now.
Stay Safe.
Why did I figure that these two sleazes slither out from under their rocks to exploit this? Homo-fascists, my foot. And you notice how they are right out there with the “persecution whine”?
And this laugh about conservatives not using bullets, vioence and rage? Tell that to the families of the seven Sikhs who were murdered. Tell that to the idiot in KS who wants us executed. The only rason they don’t use them more is because they don’t have more power. If they did, there would be even more of this going on.

They are absolutely shameless. There is no low to which they won’t sink. These people are simply exploiting a tragic occurrence to give their hatemongering and bigotry more exposure. Charming.
These guys sure were eager to quickly exploit this shooting. They couldn’t possibly be thrilled that this happened, could they?
It’s amazing how they have the energy to exist considering how much they froth every time there’s an incident anywhere, involving anybody.
They may call themselves ‘christian’ but they do not follow Christ.
