Joint statement regarding shooting at Family Research Council (FRC) from lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) organizations
We were saddened to hear news of the shooting this morning at the offices of the Family Research Council. Our hearts go out to the shooting victim, his family, and his co-workers.
The motivation and circumstances behind today’s tragedy are still unknown, but regardless of what emerges as the reason for this shooting, we utterly reject and condemn such violence. We wish for a swift and complete recovery for the victim of this terrible incident.

I don’t think I have ever commented on this blog. If I have I don’t remember it. Regardless, today, I can’t NOT say… thanks. I mean it, I was floored by the statement and as of this comment 41 LGBT leaders have signed it.
To be clear, I wasn’t floored because I didn’t think LGBT leaders/activists would do something so kind. I’ve met or communicated with many and this is not a “shocking” thing to me. However, I was floored because you all didn’t have to do something like and yet you did. That’s really pretty great.
I don’t usually follow comments sections on any blogs except my own and my clients. But if for some reason Wayne or John wants to contact me, you have my email as a result of this comment.
