Tweeted around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday:
@GayPatriot
Suspect in FRC attack was LGBT volunteer / Just as I suspected… an unhinged gay liberal. #tcot #p2
Oh, the horror: The suspect was an avowed volunteer.
I understood how GP derived “gay” from “LGBT,” even though we don’t know the LGBT center volunteer’s sexual orientation.
But how did GayPatriot translate “volunteer” into “liberal”?
This reasoning will come as a surprise to the elderly and conservative volunteers at The Center. And to the law-enforcement entities that support The Center’s meticulous background checks. And to anyone else in civil society.
Blaming liberalism for this shooting makes no more sense than blaming conservatism for the recent theater shootout in Aurora, Colo.
Yet GP’s Daniel Blatt followed up that tweet this morning with a prolonged and unsubstantiated defamation against The Center and other unnamed organizations for inspecific reasons, while arguing that the Family Research Council‘s thoroughly documented campaign of defamation — and its support for imprisonment and execution of gay people — are neither hateful nor violent.

This is possibly the most stupid post I’ve ever read. The guy went in there railing against FRC’s policies, conservative policies. Look, just denounce the violence and move on. The left is getting clobbered. Take your lumps, condemn the attack, and speak out against your side’s extremism.
["Take your lumps": to be told, as a queer, to "take my lumps". Mind, boggling. Done and done, Donald! All my life!]
Violence is NEVER the answer. Prayers for the security guard’s rapid recovery.
Donald, we already did that.
The shooting does not legitimize acts of political exploitation and defamation, nor does it justify smears against an LGBT volunteer center.
The shooting also does not legitimize the Family Research Council’s support for the imprisonment and execution of homosexuals.
Remember that Bryan Fischer thinks that the Nazi’s were liberal because the word “Socialist” is in the name of the party. This is the type of lack of reason we’re dealing with.
@ Donald Douglas,
So, you think that somehow a guard getting shot in the arm is worse for the Left than, let’s see — Bryon Williams attempting to kill several officers and engaging in a minutes long gunbattle with them when stopped enroute to kill officials at the ACLU and the Tides foundation was for the Right. You think that an armed man being shot in the arm by a nut is much worse for us than nearly 30 children dying in Oklahoma City along with over a hundred adults in a bomb attack by a Right Wing extremist (Timothy McVeigh) on the Federal Building was for you. You think… Oh never mind, the operative word isn’t really there.
I’m going to just have to respectfully disagree.
Regards,
Reyn
No mention of the shooting of the Sikh Temple Douglas? Predictable, coming from a CONservative. And you guys CHEERED that.
Hey Donald, if there had been reasonable restictions on purchasing guns this might not have happened.
“Volunteeering” isn’t a CONservative activity; they’re ALWAYS looking for comps…
Conservatives (particularly the Ayn Rand cultists) never do anything unless you give them money. That’s why volunteering is a liberal trait.
