Serena Ryan and Pete Dillon, the Australian radio hosts who brought us the now-famous interview in which a Salvation Army official said that non-celibate LGBT people should be put to death, interviewed the notorious Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church on a recent episode of their show, Salt and Pepper.
Check the interview out below. The segment containing the interview with Phelps starts at 9:30. She starts yelling at, lecturing, and interrupting Ryan and Dillon pretty much right after saying hello. Give it a listen; it’s crazy stuff!

A couple of minutes of this is all you need…Ms. Phelps-Rover is at the top of the wingnut list; she can only robotically spout her version of the bible and god..and of course, that does not include LGBT people; her ears are closed and her mouth can only continue that hateful brank of Phelps hatred; uggh!!!
Kinda like drug addiction rewiring your cerebral circuitry, I think a constant exposure to and practice of hatred, rewires the brain so people really become mentally ill. This woman is bona fide lunatic fringe with emphasis on the former.
One of the local Christian Radio hosts in the Minneapolis area tried to interview her and also had the same thing happen and he happens to be a right wing guy. I don’t think it is possible to have a rational discussion with the Phelps clan.
I can understand reporting on things like protesting funerals, but why do people actively seek these cultists out?
