Just when you thought so-called conservatives couldn’t get any loopier. On his radio show, Rush Limbaugh blamed President Obama and the Democrats for faking weather reports that said Hurricane Issac might hit Tampa. According to Limbaugh:
It’s the government. It’s Obama.
And I’m noticing that that track stayed zeroed in on Tampa day after day after day. And the Republicans react to it accordingly over the weekend, canceling the first day of the convention. What could be better for the Democrats than the Republicans to cancel a day of this? [...]
Okay, 6:45 p.m. Saturday night the Republicans announce that they’re canceling Monday. At 6:45 p.m. Saturday night, everybody is still under the impression that Isaac is making a beeline for very close to Tampa. It was an hour and 15 minutes later that the eight p.m. model runs showed New Orleans. I’m alleging no conspiracy. I’m just telling you, folks, when you put this all together in this timeline, I’m telling you, it’s unbelievable.
I’d say that Limbaugh needs to be medicated. But lack of prescription drugs is not his problem.

Makes about as much sense as saying I like blue. My grandfather had blue eyes. He died of prostate cancer, therefore I will die of prostate cancer. Oh wait…I’m female and don’t have a prostate..no matter, the pieces fit, so the puzzle must be right! Give me a break! I think Rush is ON his meds again!!
The man is so far round-the-bend that he’s hopeless. He’s been getting whackier as the years go by. BUT, he still has a very large audience which says something about those listeners – they are as nuts as he is. I would bet that the overall national IQ is somewhere around 90, if that high.
He’s finally started believing his own B.S.
Maybe the hurricane was caused by all Rush Limbaugh’s hot air…
It astonishes me that in the 21st century people still believe natural disasters can be summoned or caused by human behavior.
Clearer evidence I’ve yet to see that he’s gone completely off the deep end. Just incredible.
If folk like you would stop propping Limbaugh up he’d go away.
We have such a high level of inane public dialogue because too many people profit off of it.
Actually, Melinda, the tendency of cockroaches is to scurry when you shine a light on them…
