Active Christian Media’s Stacy Harp has always been a little bit off her rocker, so I’m not surprised by her latest stunt. She has chosen several activists, including moi, and placed their heads on social media sites asking people to pray for us. It kind of looks like the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list hanging at my local post office, except the people are happy.
Speaking of which, if it was Harp’s goal to portray LGBT people as “unhappy” heathens, she spectacularly failed. The photos she used portrayed her subjects as deliriously cheerful and we appeared to be rather pleased with our lives. For example, she chose a photo of me on my wedding day holding hands with my spouse, Jamie.
I want to thank her for widely disseminating such an image to her flock. There is no doubt that the closeted homosexuals who listen to anti-gay activists like Harp will see a vivid picture of what their lives could be if they simply stopped believing the lies. They too could be smiling, like we are, on their wedding day, instead of living a depressing facade to please Harp’s perpetually perturbed God.
Keep the prayers coming Stacy — but you might be surprised to learn that God might be using you to help self-loathing gay Christians see the light and come out of the closet.
We should send her pictures to add to her prayer list. ;)

When I was an evangelical, I was taught that praying over picture cards was occult-like.
But I guess times change, and conservative Christians change with them.

We’re all laughing now, but I get this sinking feeling that one of Stacy’s loony followers is going to be using this list for more than prayer.
This somehow feminds me of the ludicrous sects that take to christianing people after death to let them into their version of heaven. I think it’s been done six or seven times to Anne Frank. People need to get a grip…

No thanks Stacy, don’t waste your time communing with nonexistent bronze age mythological fairy tale dieties on our account. Instead you should spend your time returning to school (REAL school, not religious school) and learning some science and true history (not xtian christofascist rewrites). There is only our natural universe, and religion was invented by old men to control women, sex, and money. My website traffic is not too high, around 1200-1500 a month, but my radio show I have about 30,000 listeners a month. So more people pay attention to me on my radio show, and I’m happy to say that my numbers continue to increase. ;)
You could say that I’m one of the most active Christians out there, that talks about the issues of homosexuality out there, but I’m not in it for the money and I don’t use the kickback I get, as a fundraising tool, like the others you all mention, like say, Peter LaBarbera who uses your attacks to raise money. I don’t care about the money. I discuss these issues because they are important to me and my listeners. So, yes, it would be best if you didn’t pay any attention to me, that way I can continue to spread the news I do, and influence the tens of thousands that I do. I’m a nobody… pay more attention to Peter and the others. Have a nice day.

I’m fascinated by the whole mindf*ck of her board.
She states in the top banner: “prayer offered in the name of Christ is the best way to love the struggling homosexual or lesbian.” Then when someone calls her on it, her assuming these people are struggling when they seem to be leading happy productive lives her answer is “that’s your assumption”
She also claims to not trying to pray away the gay. She says “I find it interesting that you are assuming I am trying to pray away the gay, no where have I ever stated that.”
So what ARE you stating? You’re trying to pray they become healthy happy adults who are comfortable and proud of who they are? Looking at the list, I’d say been there done that.
And she dodges the folks who point out that she refused to refer to Ricky Martin’s sons has her SONS, but rather “The two small boys he is raising.”
Frankly, I see this board as a board of PRIDE. These are the people who have gotten this bigot’s attention because they won’t play by her rules. I commend everyone mentioned.
