Gay Star News reports that rapper Lil Wayne takes a swipe at R&B singer Frank Ocean in a new remix, making a negative reference to Ocean’s sexuality:
Featuring on a remixed version of Future’s new single ‘Turn On The Lights’, Wayne raps: ‘Tell her I skate/ I ain’t got no worries/ No Frank Ocean, I’m straight.’
The lyric is a clear reference to the R&B singer, who revealed earlier this year his first love was a man.
It is not the first time Wayne has been accused of using homophobic lyrics in his songs. In his song Georgia Bush, he says: ‘Got money out the ass/no homo but I’m rich.’
Lil Wayne also uses the word “retarded” as a slur in the same song, according to Perez Hilton.
You can listen to this garbage below, if you feel like subjecting yourself to this trash. How utterly pathetic.

I didn’t listen to the song, but are the lyrics you’ve posted in someway offensive? Did he say something else in his song that actually denigrates homosexuals?
As for “no homo” and “retarded”, these are things children say. I’m not really shocked that Lil has the mentality of a child.
I have no way of knowing, but I always heard that Lil Wayne was gay. This outburst makes me think that he has an internal struggle over the matter. All my life, I’ve seen that people who are truly secure in their sexuality don’t need to make public statements that seek to assure the masses that they’re one way or the other. Sexuality isn’t an issue for them; it isn’t something that they discuss all the time. (This is different from human rights activism, which fights for the dignity of all people).
Michael C, if you can’t understand the concept of context and, more specifically, intent, you might want to consider getting an dictionary to look up what they mean, but then again maybe you’re 12. This walking excuse for a lynching (yeah, I said it) is disgusting. He has many times in the past denigrated gays and lesbians; further, he has consistently shown himself to be a vile creature in general.
P.S. if you find my use of the word lynching offensive, then shouldn’t have any problem understanding why TWO or anyone else would find what Lil Wayne said just as offensive.
Chris, there’s an infamous photo that made the rounds a few years ago showing Lil Wayne kissing another man on the lips. His tendency to say “no homo” – it’s the opening line of his song “Lollipop” – and “faggot” only increased after the rumors spread in its wake.
I suspect his GPA in school (if he even went to one) was about a 0.5.
Hi Jon in Canada. I, admittedly, know next to nothing about Lil Wayne. Based solely on the lyrics provided, I don’t have the context to decipher his intent. I was unaware of his prior homophobic actions, which is why I asked the question that I did.
P.S. thanks for the tip. I had no idea the dictionary had so many words in it =)
This reminds me of a few years back when Prince made a statement opposing marriage equality. I thought, “For someone as gay as you to be condemning gayness is pretty ironic.”.
