Yesterday, during a town hall-style campaign stop in Cincinnati, Ohio, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan mentioned his opposition to marriage equality, characterizing discrimination in marriage as a “universal human value.” Watch the video below:
Repugnant, right? I felt similarly disgusted when Paul Ryan noted in his speech last month at the Republican National Convention that “rights come from God, not government.”
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want this guy’s exclusionary, apartheid-style views on “rights” or his anti-LGBT “universal human values” anywhere near the office of vice president, let alone a heartbeat away from the presidency itself.

I suppose that what he said means that we aren’t human since we aren’t part of those “Human” values. Boy, I would love to see an interviewer really corner him on this crap. Let him say straight out that “we” don’t deserve to part of those human values. He is a typical, republican, political hack.
So rights come from god, and Paul Ryan is god’s mouthpiece? I don’t think so.
Ryan is such a good Catholic boy that he now refers to Romney as “The Stench” because his campaign is so pathetic and Romney is destroying Ryan’s career. :)

Ah, the joys of living in a swing state. We have been getting a lot of presidential political traffic during the last few elections here in Cincinnati.
@Gianni, I have to agree that Ryan and his ilk don’t seem to see LGBTQ folks as human based on his talk and actions. Marriage may not be for everyone, but it should be available to consenting adults regardless of gender identity/expression, sex or sexual orientation.
