A little smile to start your morning: in June, the City of West Hollywood painted two crosswalks with rainbow colors to celebrate Pride Month. The City Council liked them so much it voted on August 20 to make them permanent, and construction on the permanent rainbow-colored crosswalks at Santa Monica and San Vicente Boulevards began Monday. KTLA reports that the crosswalks will have new asphalt and skid-resistant thermoplastic pavement markings.
Check out a photo below:
The West Hollywood City Council hopes the new crosswalks will help brand the city as an LGBT tourist destination. What do you think, will the crosswalks help make West Hollywood more visibly LGBT-friendly? I know one thing: the next time in town, I’m totally checking them out!

That sound you hear is not bubble wrap nor popcorn popping, nor firecrackers, but right wingnut heads exploding everywhere.
Very cool. I love it!
I like them! Nice to see something like this.
I used to live in Long Beach and enjoyed the bars and restaurants in West Hollywood immensely. This just adds to its charm.
