But it was more of a political operation. How would you counter that?

Randy Thomas: Well I think the representative from T-W-O needs to update his talking points, because we haven’t done anything really overtly political in quite awhile. If you look at our press releases I believe there’s been a handful over the past two years. But while we may speak to the issues of marriage or hate crimes or maybe even ENDA, that is a fraction of what we’re about and what we do. We’re an organization of 206 member agencies. We have a lot on our plate, and I think he likes to focus on that because it plays well to his own constituents.

So according to Randy Thomas of Exodus International, lobbying to prevent us from having the right to legally wed, lobbying against hate crime legislation in the effort TO PREVENT THE DISCOURAGEMENT OF PHYSICAL VIOLENCE AGAINST US, or lobbying to prevent us from enjoying job security — by painting us all as God-mocking child-molesting drug-crazed disease-ridden sex-fiends - by choice, all in the name of Jesus, is just a “fraction” of what they’re all about and what they do. And that the only reason Wayne would have to “focus” on that fact is because it “plays well.”

As though we “constituents” who are victimized daily by the political efforts — past and present — of Exodus International actually need playing to.
