You are President and Founder of the National Radio Hall of Fame. It is both shameful and a tragedy for your organization to nominate James Dobson and the “Faith in the Family” program.

Dobson might get in. Billy Graham, the Metropolitan Opera, “Meet The Press” founder Lawrence Spivak, Walter Cronkite, NPR’s “All Things Considered” and even Lucille Ball didn’t.

Eddie Anderson, “Rochester” on the Jack Benny program, died in 1977. It took 13 more years before he became the first person of color to be inducted.

By now, you know James Dobson is most identified for his bigotry and discrimination. Your organization and the age of radio deserve better. I know I’m not alone in finding this nomination an insult and most certainly worthy of your re-consideration.

I find it silly that God, I mean, Dobson, is after Wayne over this secular award. To Dobson, everything secular is vile - so why would Dobson be so concerned over receiving this vile, secular radio award?

Hey, I’m just going by the way they talk.

And by his own standards, Dobson isn’t even supposed to OWN a radio, much less be a show host on radio.

OK, so “F*** us and the Family” (in the name of god) feels that they will be validated somehow by Dr. Dobson being in the radio hall of fame? Aren’t Rush and Imus in there? Maybe Dobson DOES belong there.
