"I’m convinced Ex-Gay Watch and Exodus are one and the same now. Both groups are cults."

In that case, Scott, it sounds as though it would be pretty easy to convince you of some bloody silly things. Whoever it was over at Ex-Gay Watch that exonerated Alan Chambers presumably wrote in good faith, giving Chambers the benefit of the doubt. Was the link already there on Exodus International's website at that time, anyway? Can you remember? And to categorize Ex-Gay Watch as a cult is simply preposterous.

What I'd do, if I were you, would be to get in touch with whoever it was at Ex-Gay Watch that absolved Chambers of involvement or acquiescence in Scott Lively's vicious propaganda and draw his/her attention to the link to Lively's cranky essay. And do it NOW - QUICK - before anyone has a chance to delete the link on Exodus's website and then pretend that it was never there.

Why is Exodus International linking to Scott Lively?

http://exodus.to/content/view/173/56/

And last year, the "ex-gay survivors" at Ex-gay Watch were defending Alan Chambers, saying Exodus had nothing to do with "The Pink Swastika". I'm convinced Ex-Gay Watch and Exodus are one and the same now. Both groups are cults.

Scott,

I believe that much of the public sees past Exodus' insincere god-talk and its idols of material prosperity. Their own TV, radio, and webcast appearances expose Ensley and his colleague Randy Thomas as miserable, fearful, and insecure.

I don't wish misery upon them -- they choose misery for themselves, now and in the hereafter, through their rejection of grace, their convoluted and self-defeating legalisms, their correctness, and their self-isolation from the people whom they claim to care about.

"Finally, Mike, the GLBT community will be here for you if and when you are ready to come out. We will show you the unconditional love and support that you will never find at Exodus."

Love ya Wayne, but speak for yourself LOL

I'd rather Mike Ensley's soul to be owned and operated by Alan Chambers for eternity. He deserves nothing less than that kind of misery.
