If they want to make the point that marriage is all about children, 30% of gay couples have children and its extremely hypocritical to then use that as an excuse to deny those children the benefits and protection of legally recognized parents. Unless they're trying to make the argument that only the married procreation act matters and children themselves are irrelevant the idea that marriage is about children necessarily entails allowing gay couples to marry for the sake of their children.
