Well, using his argument, the bible says that man and woman must marry – “for this purpose a man will leave his mother and a woman her home….”. So, the Roman Church is sinning by requiring their priests not to marry. But, then, that is logic and we know emotion is all that matters in this debate.
He is so full of baloney. It is CIVIL marriage, not CHURCH marriage. He doesn’t have any rational basis for opposing same sex civil marriages, so this professionally unmarried (closeted?) man tells people to vote to put his religious beliefs into civil law.
The drunk driver is in no position to say anything.
Blah…wrong person. Either way, why listen to a member of the child predator crime ring on any matter?
What a faggot! I’d suggest he go to Google and look up an article titled, “20 Reasons to Abandon Christianity” by Chaz Bufe. Read of the horrible atrocities committed by Christians from its beginning to assure “loyalty,” and then tell me he can still be a Christian.
Frankly, the Catholic church must be seriously feeling somewhat irrelevant anymore. They are really reaching into their bag of guilt to convince members to vote the way they want they want them to vote. Why does it make any difference to them anyway if civil government recognizes equal marriage rights? They’ll still be able to condemn it and us for whatever “sinful” things they can pull out of the Bible. Why is it so important to them and other religious freakoids to have to control the government’s treatment of us? What will they lose except their credibility? Perhaps that is the major reason. Stop worrying about it, guys. Your credibility is seriously low anyway.
Interesting that they consider divorce and such things as a sin against the vows of commitment in marriage, yet they wouldn’t seriously consider pushing for a law banning divorce and they don’t ever suggest that their loving members should shun divorced people. Why not work on actually strengthening the hetero marriages you do perform instead of this nonsense about ‘protecting the sanctity’ of the ‘institution’ of marriage. For Christ’s sake, the worst and most evil men and women in prison for committing horrible and despicable crimes CAN get married. AND, according to you idiots, as long as that marriage is hetero, it is ‘holy’ in God’s eyes! Who in the hell are you trying to kid?
I think he wants something *deeper*, but it’s not ‘understanding’.
