Anti-gay state Sen. Stacey Campfield of Knoxville, TN has revived his odious “don’t say gay” bill. However, the legislation
now includes a rule that school counselors notify parents if they learn of students “engaging in or at risk of engaging in” injurious behavior. Of course, that includes gay sex:
“I can’t speak from personal experience, but being homosexual in and of itself is not deadly or dangerous. The act of homosexuality is very dangerous,” said Campfield.
His will have two unintended consequences:
1) It will lead to more attempted suicides, homeless youth, and LGBT youth estranged from conservative families
2) It will ultimately strengthen the LGBT presence in schools, because many youth will be outed via posts on Facebook or discovered text messages, which will completely boomerang on the anti-gay movement
Short term, more harm to LGBT youth. Long-term, it harms the anti-gay industry by outing more youth.
The new “don’t say gay” proposal never uses the words homosexual or gay, instead referencing behavior “inconsistent with natural human reproduction.”

One can bet that he is a Christian, good and loving, and his ONLY concern is for the welfare of gay kids. Does this new rule also include tattling on the het kids who are screwing like minks? When little missy gets knocked up they’ll help her carry her baby to term, right? As long as she’s doing it with a boy. “Behavior inconsistent with natural, human reproduction”. You mean like when the boys convince the girls to suck on their tools or when the boys convince the girls to let them do them up the butt? That’s inconsistent with thus and such, right? This guy is a pervert and I wouldn’t take his word that he “can’t speak from experience”.
Dear Sen. Stacey Campfield,
The act of hetrosexuality is very dangerous.
What I want to say about this guy and his ilk cannot be printed here.
Well, it’s Tennessee so can we expect the next logical bill to proposed? You know, the one that will deny the existence of Blacks in America or will they try to deny the existence of Native Americans first?
This whole affair is best described as absolute PIFFLE.
‘inconsistent with natural reproduction’? so presumably that includes use of contraception then?
