In a shocking admission, Christopher Doyle, a board member for Parents & Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX) and blogger for the Christian Post, admits that while he was an adolescent he got in trouble for molesting “little girls” that
his mother was responsible for watching in her daycare center. According to “Christopher’s Story,” which was previously posted on PFOX’s website, Doyle confessed:
“I tried to have sex with the little girls that my mother watched in her daycare, and eventually, one of the girls told her parents what I was doing. The shame that was placed on me by my parents was more than I could bear. Rather than rescue me, teach me, and put me in counseling, the ‘bad boy’ was left alone to deal with all of this shame.”
Doyle claims that he was only ten years old at the time of the illegal incidents. Still, such disturbing behavior is rather unusual and raises enormous red flags in our view, considering Doyle’s access to youth as a therapist. He is currently a counselor at the International Healing Foundation (IHF), a business where the therapists regularly pet vulnerable clients in a technique called “touch therapy.” IHF has long focused on youth and its founder, Richard Cohen, has written a bizarre “ex-gay” children’s book “Alfie’s Home.” Doyle is also a key member of the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), which claims that 50% of their clients are LGBT youth.
Perhaps most alarming, Doyle has started a company, Acception Productions, that is working to get its anti-gay videos — that deceptively pretend to be anti-bullying videos — into public schools. At the time of publication, Doyle has not provided the ages of the girls he admits to “trying to have sex with.”
It could be that Doyle’s confessed youthful perversion only occurred during that time period, many years ago. However, one must take pause when looking a his career, one that disturbingly goes through great lengths to place Doyle in close proximity to youth.
The question that parents should ask: Do they want Christopher Doyle, given his notorious past, engaging in touch therapy with their sons and daughters?
Is he a licensed therapist?
Michael, according to the website of Richard Cohen’s International Healing Foundation, Doyle has “a master’s degree in professional counselling” and is “mentored by Richard Cohen, M.A.” Doesn’t that sound about as kosher as you can get?

Sounds like he was a confused kid who grew into some clarity about where his innate attractions were finally. If he really identifies as straight now, I would assume his connections with guys were either a reflection of a bisexually oriented persona or some kind of attempt to resolve old issues that didn’t have anything necessarily to do with sexuality. Of course the claim to be “healed of homosexuality” is as bogus as Paul Ryan “saving” medicare. All publicity, that sht*t.

And why, exactly, have PFOX and NARTH been harboring an admitted bisexual predator who falsely claims to have been gay?

No, he’s bad because what he did is disgusting and his past disqualifies him from working with youth. That he was honest about it is irrelevant and does nothing to protect kids. And for the record I think you are a scumbag for defending him. Shame on you.
this article has skeeved me out to the max and has made me feel physically ill………I am a Clinical Social Worker/psychotherapist and the fact that Mr. Doyle talks about this and does not mention if he has had treatment scares me………the recividism rate for child molesters is about 90% and even with treatment, there is no cure and the idea he may work with or near children is chilling….
He’s been working with minors for longer than he’s been honest about this, and he not taking any sort of responsibility. Disturbing doesn’t begin to describe this.

I guess the reasoning behind him just openly admitting this, is the fairy tale, cherished by christians, that all gay people are nothing but potential child molesters, so a repentant christian “ex-child molester” simply MUST be the perfect person to teach the others to repent as well.
Sounds utterly ridiculous, but the only other possible reason is that he knows that the people who sent their kids to him simply don’t give a damn.

Christopher Doyle would be fired in a split second if he would have been an elementary school teacher that touches his young students as he does in his “”therapy”, which even NARTH condemns.
His molesting young girls while being an adolescent puts him in a very small minority of people who would ever think of or do that.
As a guest columnist for the Christian Post, I wonder what their new replacement for Dr Land would say if he were asked at a press conference. This person has written that he is against boycotting Starbucks as that is using the devils methods. Take that with Baptist head Luter’s taking back what he said about North Korea and gay marriage and you get an idea of where the new PR is . If someone would confront them on this I don’t see how they could justify his being one of their mouthpieces.
