tony 300x231 In Light Of Minnesota, Tony Perkins Still Trying To Claim His Side Has MomentumWatching the Right these days is kind of pathetic, but hey, they need to squeeze as many pennies out of Grandma as they can. Here’s hate group leader Tony Perkins claiming that, even with Minnesota’s likely approval of marriage equality, their movement is still the one with significant momentum:

As conservatives, it’s easy to despair. With liberal states falling like dominos, Americans must be wondering if this is the end of the road for marriage. Well, it’s not–and here’s why. If you look at the dozen states with same-sex ‘marriage,’ homosexual activists are picking off the easiest targets: progressive pockets of the country that have rejected traditional morality. Our short-term strategy should be containment. If conservatives can confine same-sex ‘marriage’ to these liberal jurisdictions, the evidence of why this policy won’t work will begin to show. More people will realize that this isn’t about the marriage altar — it’s about fundamentally altering society. It’s time to look at the marriage scoreboard — 30 states to 12 — and recognize that same-sex ‘marriage’ isn’t a wave that’s sweeping the nation. If anything, it’s a call to stand for natural marriage — and keep standing.

Um, actually, we “picked off the easiest targets” several years ago. Now we’re winning in the more middle-of-the-road states. Why? Because support for marriage equality is now a “middle-of-the-road” issue. Sane people of both parties support it. And when he says that “the evidence of why this policy won’t work will begin to show,” it’s almost pitiful. One of our states has now had marriage equality for ten years, and, outside of the fever dreams of right-wingers, nothing bad has happened! Normal people see that. And my goodness, I can’t believe they’re still flogging the “scoreboard” thing about 30 states, considering the fact that the process to repeal those hate-group “wins” has begun in several of those states, with more to follow.

Oh well. Keep getting those “pro-family” senior citizens to send you their Social Security checks, Tony.
