Don't take Warren's words at face value--for the longest time, he refused to condemn the Ugandan law. It wasn't until he was publicly embarrassed (by Rachel Maddow, I think) that he did his about-face. Rick Warren is a self-serving liar and hypocrite. Don't believe a word he says.

Philosophically speaking, which will burn first: christian churches? or LGBT centers? Isnt that what we're all afraid of, really? I think that Rick Warren is smart and forward-thinking, to accept the fact that he has been a HUGE factor in "re-purposing" evangelical "christians" (even his so-called "unchristian" christians) into a homogeneous flock awaiting daily "news" about supposed religious persecution, political advancements/setbacks and radical, immoral "homosexual recruitment" of our innocent children. Defamation at its worst, thanks to him and his cronies in the fleecing industry. I am sick and tired of the many anti-gay cottage industries he has helped spawn with his holy readings of the day. So it is most definately his "extraordinary" responsibility to help start DEconstructing the monsters he helped create.... unless of course he just sees this as an opportunity to end up with even MORE influence in Uganda... that wonderful, PURPOSE-DRIVEN country we all aspire to become (barf).

How awfully brave of P.Rick Warren to sit in front of a camera. Like the Rev on Rachel Maddow that was featured last night saying here in the US will likely have no effect on Uganda. If he's so moved to say words that will actually affect what is going on Uganda, perhaps he should fly to Uganda and say those words directly to their parliament.
