A national magazine reporter is looking for people who have been treated by Marcus Bachmann, the husband of Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn). Marcus has allegedly performed reparative therapy to “cure homosexuals in Minnesota.
If you have suffered at the hands of this quack or feel he has “helped” you, please contact me ASAP at wbesen@truthwinsout.org.

Wait….HER HUSBAND is an “ex Gay” “therapist”? REALLY? If he came across as any MORE of an old queen, HIS pic would be on British and Canadian money. My god, the irony.
Not too surprising, as you note, gene. It would explain bachmann. One moreantigay working out their problems on the backsofother people.
When is our government, the government we are paying taxes to, going to investigate the fraud and public health risks caused by these “ex-gay” quacks?
Her husband is an “ex-gay” therapist, is he? Michele better watch her back; that type is the sort who sooner or later will be caught on his knees with his pants down around his ankles giving head to some rough trade in a men’s room somewhere.
It is usually just a matter of time…
The only reason these quacks get away with this s**t is under the guise of “religion”. Our State’s Attorney’s General Offices need to start investigating these people for practicing medicine without a license and fine and jail them for mental abuse. Then they need to be audited by the IRS and held accountable for tax fraud in selling a product that is bogus and for mail and wire fraud for advertising such b******t by the appropriate authorities.
Well if he is providing therapy contrary to the American Psychological Association ethics (which condemns conversion therapy)and IF he is a licensed therapist, he would be in trouble.
Mykelb,
You said it all and powerfully so. I have wondered for years how these charlatans get away with so-called “therapy,” under the guise of “religion,” so-called also, I might add. These people are criminals, pure and simple.
Jerry
Let’s focus on getting rid of the religious rights base of power first then go after these frauds otherwise they will use it as ammo.
“Ex-gay” reprogramming of minors is child abuse and often involves kidnapping and false imprisonment. When is Eric Holder going to go after these a******s?
I believe that if we look closely we will find ALL KINDS of skeletons in the closet of THIS family! It’s our DUTY to bring all the shadowy, corrupt and illegal acts of these HATERS to light. Let’s GO GET THEM!
How much you wanna bet he’s fellating a complete stranger in an interstate restroom as you read this?
The moment I read this post a snarky voice
popped into my head which said “Physician, heal thyself”.
I also wouldn’t be asking, “Have You Had ‘Ex-Gay’ Therapy With Marcus Bachmann?”
I’d be asking, “Have you had Gay sex with Marcus Bachmann?” You’d likely get more affirmative replies.
Who the hell would admit to having sex with that loser?

Check this man’s credentials. On his website, he claims a “Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology” from Union Graduate Institute (a correspondence school in Ohio). Union has never offered a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. They have a “Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies” and an unaccredited Psy.D.
He never lists his license on his website, identifying himself only by degrees (a Regent U. MA and the Union Ph.D.). This means one of two things: a) he’s not licensed, or more likely b) he has a subdoctoral license (like an LMFT or LPCC) and he’s trying to obscure that by listing his Ph.D.
If he doesn’t have a license (he probably does), then he’s in deep trouble. If he does have a license, then his misrepresentation of his Ph.D. should be brought to the attention of his licensing board.
Just saying…
Yeah, he appears to not be licensed. In most states, it’s not a crime to practice unlicensed, as long as someone isn’t claiming to have a license they don’t have. “Therapy,” “counseling,” “psychotherapy,” etc. are not protected terms most places, nor should they be.
I am a licensed therapist, and I believe that people should have the choice to go to an alternative medicine sort of therapist or anyone else, if that’s what they feel is going to bring healing. It’s up to us licensed people to let the public know that they have little recourse if they go to an unlicensed person, but we shouldn’t take away that choice, particularly since people in some minority religious/language communities don’t HAVE a professional provider they could go to.
In terms of conversion therapy, all of the professions say it’s not recommended and can be harmful, but it’s unfortunately not actually grounds for defrocking a licensed professional. I think it should be elevated to the status of being seen as abusive no matter what, and should lead to disciplinary action.
Maybe he is really in touch with his femine side; but he does same like an ole queen. I know drag queens more masculine than he is. I think Michelle might want to worry about solving the problems in her marriage; before she tries to fix the budget. Maybe my gaydar is broke; but he definately does not seem 100% straight.
Blessings,

The deeper question is, what has American politics comes to that we have someone like Michelle Bachmann being seriously considered for the highest position in the land?! What a joke and how embarrassing. Americans have a tough enough time on the world stage with all our isolated ignorance. BTW, Michelle Bachmann needs to be reminded of separation of church and state. Those religious right views are scary and would surely interfere with that constitutional promise. She’s a whack and her husband’s a quack.
