Contrary to religious opinion (belief), there is a direct causation between oppression of a minority and that minority resorting to self destructive behavior, including suicide. You end the oppression by giving the minority their equal rights. Surprisingly, as people learn to treat others as equal, because of legal equality, the self destructive behavior seen in the minority begins to vanish.

You are correct. George should return to quoting Scripture. He may be able to “wow” the fundamentalists, but he won’t fare too well in a debate in civil society.
