Sad to note the passing of Glenn Shadix. I am glad, though, that he managed to work free of the self-hating “ex-gay movement”. RIP Glenn. You will be missed.

Billy Glenn has been my friend since 1971, and I’ll miss him more than words can say. You’re quite right, he had the biggest heart and one of the sweetest and most loving smiles I ever saw. I love him dearly for his friendship and kindness, admire him greatly for his acting talent, and honor him highly for his activism and willingness to deal with negative publicity and ugly personal comments in his quest for gay rights (which shouldn’t even be in question.) Farewell, sweetie, I’ll miss you to the end of my days.
