It may be a good thing that Rev. Bishop Canon Robinson pulled-outso that his dignity may not be touched, but maybe bad because his presence at the debate could have a strong impact. It depends how you look at it. Regardless, all of this ex-gay, conversion therapy, reparative therapy tripe is just that, complete tripe, as nearly 200 years of social, psychological, and biological science studies of homosexuality confirms this. It really doesn't matter to argue if whether same-sex sexuality is either a moral failure, mental illness, or biological abnormailty or a normal variation, because the mainstream social, psychological, and natural science position is non-nagotiable; same-gendre sexuality is not an ethical depravity, nor psychological condition, nor biotic aberration. It is not chosen, is not changable, it is a biological predisposition, and is a natural variant. Furthermore, it also doesn't matter from what stance one attempts to condemn homosexual orientation and acts, whether it be morally, religiously, mentally, or biologically. Ethically same-sex disposition is the unchosen, unchangeable, and normal variation of romantic, aesthetic, and sexual drive, same-gendre actions being simply the physical expressions that flow from the morally neutral, unchosen, unchangeable, and biotically triggered attraction. Spiritually, homosexual orientation and activities are present to some degree and extent in the context of every world religion, there being both supportings of same-sex love, for example Jonathan & David, Ruth & Naomi, and Daniel & Ashpenaz in Judaism and Christianity, and prohibitions of various same-gender behaviors for the same reason as heterosexual acts, for instance those connected to idolatry, sexual abuse, and fornication also in Judaism and Christianity. Finally, we come to attempted biological arguments. Biotically, homosexual disposition psychological response to the natural functions of various genetic and hormonal factors rooted in Natural Selection, evolution, and adaptation that cause the same-sex inclination, and actions that flow from the attraction accomplish the mental and erotic function as completely as opposite-sex sexuality, employing a normal variant on the usage of the sexual faculties and anatomical gendre. Arguing any of this would be like trying to refute Galileo in 2008.

I think that the government needs to be involoved in making sure that ALL people that do therapy are licensed therapist and I don't care if you are religious or not. I have run into some religious therapist that are more quacker than the clients they serve. When is the government going to wake up?
